Objectives
By the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
1.List the components of a point-of-care ultrasound performed for gynecologic indications
2.Describe the advantages and disadvantages of the use of transabdominal versus transvaginal scanning in the gyn ultrasound exam
3.Demonstrate proper technique for using a transvaginal probe
4.Learn the variations in uterine position, and describe how best to achieve an adequate image with angling the transvaginal probe for each type of uterine position
5.Describe methods for locating pelvic organs to achieve optimal images
6.Utilize POCUS to assess pelvic disorders by recognizing and discriminating normal versus abnormal structures
